How it works

Why your hair changed

Oestrogen and progesterone fall through perimenopause and menopause. Those hormones help hold hair in its anagen phase — the stage where a strand is actively growing. As they drop, follicles spend less time growing and more time resting.

Two things follow. Strands come in finer, because a shorter growing phase produces a thinner shaft. And they shed sooner, because the resting phase arrives earlier. Density at the parting is the first place it shows, because that is where you look.

The follicle is not dead. It is under-instructed. That distinction is the whole reason a cosmetic protocol can do anything at all here — and also the reason it takes ninety days rather than thirty.

The three steps

Step One — Thickening Shampoo · three times a week

A gentle, fragrance-free wash. Its job is to clear buildup without stripping, because a coated scalp and a stripped scalp are both bad environments. Fragrance is the most common irritant in hair care and scalps get more reactive through the change, so there is none in it.

Step Two — Scalp Serum · every evening

This is where the actives are. Applied along the parting on a dry scalp, worked in with the fingertips for about a minute. If you only ever use one step, use this one.

Step Three — Restorative Mask · once a week

Through the mid-lengths and ends, not the scalp. Breakage along the shaft is why hair stops reaching the length it used to, and length loss reads as thinning even when density has not changed.

The ninety-day timeline

Hair grows roughly a centimetre a month. A strand that starts growing the day you begin needs about three months to be long enough to see at the parting. That is not marketing; it is the growth rate.

  • Day 30 — nothing visible. This is exactly on schedule. It is also where most people quit, which is why most people never find out whether it worked.
  • Day 60 — less in the drain. Shedding usually settles before fullness appears, because the cycle stabilises before the new growth arrives.
  • Day 90 — visible at the parting. The strands that began when you did have finally grown far enough to show.

How to judge it honestly

Photograph your parting on day one, day forty-five and day ninety. Same light, same angle, same time of day, dry hair. Gradual change is almost impossible to assess from memory, and you will talk yourself both into and out of a result if you rely on the mirror.

Judge it on those three photographs. Not on how a wash felt.

What this will not do

It will not regrow hair. Nothing sold as a cosmetic will. Minoxidil is the only ingredient approved over the counter for regrowth, and that is a conversation for your doctor.

What a cosmetic can honestly affect is the scalp environment, breakage along the lengths, and the appearance of density. Those are real outcomes and they are the ones we build for. Any brand in this category promising regrowth from a shampoo is selling you something it cannot deliver.

If it does nothing

Use it as directed for ninety days. If nothing changes, email us any time up to day 120 and we refund it. No photographs required, no bottles to send back. Full terms on the returns page.
